＂The 9th Macao International Innovation and Invention Expo 2021＂ was held at the Macao Science Center

      This invention exhibition attracted inventors from various provinces and cities across the Taiwan Strait, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as invention organizations, schools, enterprises and individuals from 14 countries including Russia, Poland, Croatia, Australia, Canada, etc., with a total of 470 works.It is the highest in the past years, an increase of more than 20% compared with last year. Among them, more than 100 works participated in the offline live competition, and more than 370 works participated in the online competition.

 Chairman Li Baiqiang pointed out that after years of competition, some outstanding works have been selected for incubation. Recently, two works have been selected by enterprises and are ready to be developed. The association has also signed cooperation agreements with various units to promote the development of works. With the gradual marketization of works, it is believed that as long as the development continues in this direction, Macau has the conditions to become a base for innovation and invention.

       Li Baiqiang also said that in order to cooperate with the national "14th Five-Year Plan", the "Belt and Road" and the construction and deployment of the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", the event will promote innovation with international youth and enterprises by building a local and international innovation and invention platform. Interaction and sharing of invention works. And to promote popular science knowledge, promote scientific and technological competition and exchanges.

At yesterday's event, the association issued certificates and medals to 343 gold-winning projects, 118 silver-winning projects, and 18 bronze-winning projects. The competition will select the winning works of the student group, individual group and enterprise group, and select the "Best Environmental Protection Award", "Best International Innovation Award", "Best International Invention Award", "Most Market Potential Award", "Best Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Award" and "Best Belt and Road Award",A total of 12 awards for the highest honor in the competition. At the same time, awards were given to the winning students who organized and participated in the innovation and invention competitions in various places last year.
